With the recent power outages, here are a few tips courtesy of Manitoba Hydro.
At Manitoba Hydro, we do our best to make sure you always have power at the flick of a switch, but at times, due to Manitoba’s weather conditions, like ice storms, lightening or high winds, we are unable to guarantee uninterrupted service.
Know what to do if your power goes out.
Print and keep this information handy.
Find a flash light. It’s best to store your flash light in place that is conveniently located and easy to reach in case of an emergency or power outage.
Check the circuit breaker panel or fuse box. If required, replace fuses, with the same size only, or reset breakers. If you aren’t sure what to do, call an electrician.
If everything is okay in the circuit breaker panel or fuse box, check to see if the power is out in your neighbourhood
