A new project coming to Sage Creek will be an important addition to the community, an assisted living facility. Janzen Projects Inc. hope to begin construction on The Meadows Retirement Residence will be starting soon. This comes after already opening two very popular 55+ buildings in the community: Sage Creek Apartments and Sage Creek Pointe.
“We’re really excited to be developing this in the community, offering the next natural step for many of our residents in our 55+ buildings to an assisted living facility,” says Adam Janzen, Janzen Projects Inc. Adam has worked in property development and property management, with a senior’s focus, for 15 years. “It is always our goal to give seniors the ability and opportunity to age in place” explains Janzen.
The Meadows Retirement Residence, which will be located along Boulevard des Hivernants north of Sage Creek Pointe, will offer individuals a wide variety of services and amenities to make day-to-day living more comfortable including meals, housekeeping, scheduled activities and more.
There will be just shy of 180 units with three layouts to choose from including one- and two-bedroom options. All suites offer in-suite laundry, private balconies and underground parking is available. Residents can also rent one of the guest suites for any out-of-town guests coming to visit loved ones. The building will also boast a library, private dining room available to book, a gym, games room, theatre and roof deck.
The building will be a concrete construction which is sought after in apartment style living. “Concrete construction is a huge selling point for individuals as it ensures the privacy and noise reduction they desire” explains Janzen.
The Meadows will also offer room rentals to community members if they are looking for a space to host meetings, baby showers, birthday parties or other similar events. There will be onsite catering, and this will be available for such events.
Construction is expected to take approximately two years, so pending weather and other delays doors could open as early as 2025.
