Foxtail is a weed that can pose a health hazard to dogs and other animals if ingested. Heavy precipitation in the springtime, as we have seen in the last few years, has led to an increased foxtail presence in some parts of the city. Native Plant Solutions is currently spraying for foxtail throughout the Native Grasses in Sage Creek and we ask residents to please remove Foxtail weeds from their lawn and garden. Although the foxtail looks like a type of native grass, it is a troublesome weed that can spread throughout manicured yards and cause health issues for pets.
