The holidays are all about spending time with your friends and family. It’s when our dark winter nights are transformed into a winter wonderland with colourful lights, cheerful music and plenty of festivities – no wonder it’s called the most wonderful time of the year!
Make the most of this holiday season by visiting these nearby activities:
Sage Creek holiday pop-up
On December 7 and 8, visit the Sage Creek Holiday Pop-Up hosted by She Sparkles & Breezy Pine Design. This craft sale has no admission and features tons of local vendors. In support of the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, visitors are encouraged to make a monetary donation or bring an unwrapped new toy to help families who may need a little extra love over this holiday season.
Holiday photos and starry night sleigh rides
Stop by St. Mary’s Nursery and Garden Centre on December 1 and 8, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. to get photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. If those dates don’t work for you, be sure to visit the Grinch who’ll be sneaking into the garden centre on December 7 and 14, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Easton’s fairytale vignettes
Visit the Children’s Museum until January 6, to view 15 fairytale vignettes that have been restored and open to the public for a limited time! Classics include Cinderella, Three Blind Mice, Humpty Dumpty and much more!
If you’re looking for some low-key activities to enjoy in the warmth of your own home this holiday season, invite your loved ones over to create DIY wreaths, bake cookies or enjoy an ugly sweater party. You really can’t go wrong when choosing activities; as long as you’ve got the holiday spirit in your heart.
