Canada Day in Sage Creek! You Won’t Want to Miss It…

Jun 14, 2016

SC Canada Day

If you were among the hundreds of Winnipeggers who joined in on the inaugural Sage Creek Canada Day celebrations last year, you know what all the fuss is about.
This year’s events will exceed Canada Day 2015, promises organizer and Sage Creek Social Committee Chairperson Lang Wong, who has lived in the community for over four years.

“The community spirit in Sage Creek is amazing! Last year 1,300 people showed up and this year we are expecting even more,” says Lang. “It’s really about the community we are creating here. I always say, you can buy a house but you have to make it a home. The same is true for your community and neighbourhood.”

This year’s event promises to be even more spectacular with the addition of new activities but still keeping many of the favourites from last year! One of the newest additions will be a business fair, to promote local as well as home-based businesses in the Sage Creek neighbourhood and area. Attendees can expect a wide assortment of food trucks that will have countless mouth-watering options to keep you full throughout the day!

If you were planning on heading out of town for Canada Day, you may want to reconsider. Here’s a detailed list of the event’s main highlights:
